Carrycot?

Pushchairs typically come with two pieces; a carrycot and a seat unit. 

The carrycot is the pram section that baby lays flat in, until they are around 6 months old. The seat unit is the section that will take your little one from baby until they are around 4 years old (the weight limit is typical up to 21kg)

Some pushchairs don't come with Carrycots. In this case the seat unit is used from newborn, and is safe to do so.

Note, that not all seat units have the ability to be used from birth as they are too deep for a small baby.
